Ageing Australia is the national peak body representing providers across the aged care sector, including retirement living, seniors housing, residential care, home care, community care and related services.
We represent the majority of service providers and work with them to build a sector where older Australians age with dignity, care and respect.
We advocate for a sector that champions excellence, sustainability, and innovation, ensuring our members have the tools, resources, and guidance they need to deliver exceptional services.
We use our united voice to amplify our members’ contributions and concerns to government, media, and the wider community.

Our role
Ageing Australia supports and represents organisations delivering care, services and housing to older Australians in metropolitan, regional and remote communities.
We provide leadership, advocacy, guidance and practical support across key areas including:
- aged care reform and policy
- workforce and workplace relations
- quality, governance and compliance
- retirement living and seniors housing
- sector innovation and sustainability
- leadership and professional development
- communications and sector engagement
We also facilitate collaboration and connection across the sector through national, state and territory networks, conferences, events, webinars, advisory groups and forums.

We believe ageing should be recognised as a celebrated and fulfilling stage of life, supported by a sector that is innovative, sustainable and continuously improving.
Our advocacy is informed by evidence, member insights and sector expertise. We work closely with government and decision-makers to ensure the voices, experiences and challenges of providers and older Australians are heard.
Through strong sector representation in media, policy development and government relations, we help shape conversations and reforms that influence the future of ageing in Australia.
