Palliative Care Australia (PCA) is the national peak body for palliative care in the Country. We work to improve access to and promote the need for palliative care across Australia. PCA works with consumers, its member organisations, the palliative care workforce and other national stakeholders. Palliative Care is a person and family cantered approach to care for people with life-limiting illnesses. It focusses on improving quality of life by relieving suffering, managing physical, emotional and spiritual symptoms and supporting both the patient and their family. This can include pain and symptom relief, help with future care planning, and providing emotional support for everyone involved.
