Maintaining Self-Care While Engaging in Support at Home Service Agreement Conversations

Webinar overview

As we prepare for the implementation of the new Support at Home Program, care managers are tasked with informing individuals receiving care, of the potential change to their existing service agreements, and ensuring that older people are clear and comfortable to sign a new agreement for services delivered after the revised implementation date of 1 November 2025.

In this webinar, we’ll explore how to:

  • maintain a positive outlook while you navigate ongoing uncertainty
  • leverage your service history to promote and reassure continuity of quality care and customer experience
  • communicate with language that promotes trust and your organisation’s commitment to delivering quality services
  • remain calm supporting others without compromising your wellbeing during challenging conversations
  • recognise the signs of personal overwhelm and focus on achievable targets in your planned approach

Join us to strengthen your emotional intelligence, make uncertainty manageable, and ensure you are ready to implement change from a place of calm and connection.

Who should attend?

Care managers, care advisors and anyone who is responsible for communicating the changes to service level agreements under the Support at Home program or may encounter distress regarding changes to service agreements.

The outcomes are:

  • apply effective communication strategies to support individuals throughout conversations related to the commencement or changes in their service agreements
  • increase confidence to relay changes in an environment of uncertainty
  • implement strategies to maintain personal wellbeing as you deliver your planned approach.
