Aged care Award winners announced

The winners have been announced of the 2022 Excellence in Age Services Awards and the Retirement Village Manager of the Year in a ceremony celebrating Aged Care Employee Day at the weekend.

The awards, supported by LASA which is now a part of Aged & Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA), celebrate the best of the best in aged care services delivered to older Australians in residential, home and community care, retirement living and seniors housing.

ACCPA Interim CEO Paul Sadler congratulated the winners confirming their outstanding qualities among a highly professional field of entries.

“The winners exemplify the many hundreds of aged services providers across Australia whose staff deliver excellent services every day, with the goal of making the lives of older Australians better,” Mr Sadler said.

“Despite the challenges of the pandemic our aged care staff do a magnificent job in caring for and protecting the older people in their care in aged care homes or in home and community care.”

The awards were announced on Aged Care Employee Day on 7 August which is a day when we celebrate our aged care workers by saying ‘thanks for caring’ for our older loved ones.

The day has generated a groundswell of stories and video tributes from providers, families and loved ones of residents and clients from all over Australia thanking the more than 300,000 aged care staff for their dedication and compassion. See some of the tributes to our aged care staff on the ACCPA Facebook page, Twitter and LinkedIn and YouTube channel.
