Daisy the Robot to Attend Aged Care Celebration at NSW Parliament House

Event Details: Wednesday 6 August, 6:00pm to 9:30pm at Strangers Dining Room, Parliament of NSW, Macquarie Street, Sydney

Daisy, a cutting-edge humanoid robot developed to support aged care workers, will make a special appearance tonight at NSW Parliament House as part of a celebration honouring workers across  New South Wales and the ACT ahead of Aged Care Employee Day tomorrow.

The Singapore-based Dex-Labs team behind Daisy will also attend to showcase their innovation and the role technology can play in supporting care workers.

Hosted by Ageing Australia, the event will spotlight the NSW finalists and winners of the national You Are ACE! Awards which celebrate rising stars, compassionate carers and visionary leaders in aged care.

The Hon. Jodie Harrison, Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault will officially open the event and present the awards.

Other notable guests include CEOs from leading aged care providers.

This year’s celebration is proudly supported by sponsors Martian Logic and Alphalife Care.

“Our aged care workers show up every day with compassion, energy and resilience. They deserve to be recognised and celebrated,” said Ageing Australia CEO Tom Symondson.

“These awards are about putting the spotlight on the people behind the care, the ones changing lives and shaping the future of the sector.”

Media are welcome to attend. Interview and photo opportunities available.
