Getting started with care

Follow these steps to log into CaRE:

  1. Click on this link: Ageing Australia CaRE
  2. Select ‘sign in’ in the top right-hand corner of the page.
  3. Click ‘create or forgot password’, and enter your email address to receive the link to set your password.
  4. Follow that link in your email to create your password.
  5. Enter your login credentials and select ‘sign in.’
  6. Read and agree to the ‘community guidelines and your privacy’ to enter CaRE.
  7. Select your notification preferences and ‘save’.
  8. You will land on your member dashboard (member home page).

Frequently asked questions

Click the ‘member directory’ link found in the main navigation bar. The directory lets you search for other users based on:

  • First or last name
  • Company or organisation name
  • Email address
  • City
  • State

Go to ‘communities’ in the main navigation bar. Select ‘my communities’ to view the communities you currently belong to.

Go to your local CoP and click the ‘select your CoP preferences’ card at the bottom. That will take you to a web form you can fill out to request access to specialised CoPs.

If you do not see this card, you are already within all the CoPs to which you have access.

Navigate to your profile and click on the ‘my account’ tab. Choose ‘community notifications’ from the drop-down menu. On that page, you can view and control your subscription options.   

For each discussion, you have the following delivery options:

  • Real time: sends an email every time a new message is posted.
  • Daily digest: sends one email to you each day, consolidating all of the posts from the previous day.
  • No email: allows you to be part of the group without having emails sent to you. You can still post and read others’ messages by logging into the community site.
  • Consolidated digest: Allows you to combine multiple communities into one notification email. 

Search for discussion posts across all the communities by entering a keyword in the search bar located in the main navigation. To refine your search results, select one or more facets from the menu on the left side.

Click the ‘resources’ link found in the main navigation bar. Select ‘FAQs’ to view all of the help items. You will land here: Frequently asked questions.

Access CARE from your mobile phone

Be sure to tick ‘Stay signed in’

Navigate to your profile to keep your information up-to-date. From here, you can set your preferences for receiving updates and alerts, and manage the CaRE communities to which you are connected.
