Digital Maturity in Aged Care Workshop
Digital Maturity in Aged Care Workshop

Virtual Workshop overview
This half-day workshop is designed for aged care providers who want to build confidence and shared understanding of digital maturity across their organisation.
Delivered by InnovAgeing — Ageing Australia’s digital transformation team — it brings together clinical, operational and management staff in a practical, jargon-free environment.
Across five modules, participants explore the government digital systems their organisation is connecting to, how to protect sensitive resident data, how to build staff digital capability, what a digital strategy looks like in practice, and how to evaluate AI tools responsibly.
The session closes with a facilitated group activity that helps each organisation identify its own practical next steps.
Who should attend?
No technical background is required. The workshop is aimed at shared understanding. The workshop is designed for all staff levels — from care workers and nurses through to managers, directors and board members — and is grounded in the Australian aged care regulatory and service context.
The outcomes are:

3. Assess the digital literacy needs of their workforce and articulate what support mechanisms could address identified gaps
4. Describe the purpose and key components of a digital strategy and how to initiate one within their organisation
5. Distinguish between current and emerging AI applications in aged care and apply basic criteria for evaluating AI tools responsibly
